cold war Basics
So, what caused the the war that never really happened?
As World War II came to an end, different ideas and methods to deal with issues caused distrust and problems between the United States and the Soviet Union. Therefore, an "iron curtain" formed in Europe dividing it into two camps: democratic/ capitalistic versus communism. However, this was not enough to start a real war, so it was called a cold war.
